Unleashing the Power of Islamic Philanthropy for Sustainable Impact
In March 2023, UNHCR, in partnership with the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund, launched its fifth Islamic Philanthropy Annual Report. The report conveys the rising importance of Islamic Philanthropy in supporting forcibly displaced persons. It revealed that the Refugee Zakat Fund enabled UNHCR to support around 6 million refugees and internally displaced people in 26 countries since it was piloted in 2017.
